FKA Twigs was out and about in the East Village on Aug. 20 in a pair of slouchy red suede boots from Paris Texas.
Appearing as a guest on SiriusXM, FKA Twigs opted for an edgy yet casual look, wearing tight red leather pants with a simple off-white scoop neck tank top. The pants featured an ombré effect in which a deep shade of red faded into a lighter burgundy. The musician and actress continues to rock a hairstyle in which the top of her head is shaved while long hair is styled in the back. She accessorized with a pair of oversized sunglasses.
Her pants perfectly complemented her shoes, which were a warm shade of maroon; she wore the Esther midcalf boot from Paris Texas, which retails for $1,125. The soft suede fabric contrasted the shiny leather of her pants, both of which were appropriate for the temperate summer day in the city. The silhouette was designed with a slouchy wrinkled effect that contributed a new dynamic to the outfit. The boots also featured a narrow stiletto heel lending the artist a bit of extra height.

Slouch boots remain a prominent trend and will likely be seen in greater quantities on the streets of New York as we head into cooler weather. A variation of the classic boot, stars like Emily Ratajkowski and Heidi Klum have sported the style in recent times. Brands like Coterie & Magic showed off their take on the silhouette in 2023, and Nalebe released “House of the Dragon”-themed slouch boots in 2024.
FKA Twigs is known to rock eye-catching footwear, having just yesterday stepped out in the East Village wearing dramatic over-the-knee brown boots with a soaring square platform. A fan of a statement shoe, she wore a pair of gray over-the-knee boots to a Rick Owens show in July. For the 2024 Met Gala, the “Tears in the Club” singer selected a pair of white platform pumps to go with her unique outfit.
The multi-hyphenate is currently promoting her upcoming film “The Crow,” in which she stars opposite Bill Skarsgård. Adapted from the comic book series by James O’Barr, the gothic superhero movie is set for release on Aug. 23.
